El mundo de Johanna Tagada/ The world of Johanna Tagada

Ya posteé algo antes sobre la ilustradora  Johanna Tagada: un video precioso grabado en su departamento taller, donde ella cuenta acerca de su trabajo y estilo. Y desde esa vez la sigo de cerca, a través de todas las redes sociales posibles. Instagram, Flickr, Facebook, blog... No hace mucho se mudó a un nuevo studio y las fotos que empezó a compartir me enloquecieron de bellas. Tiene un gusto exquisito, que combina sencillez con minimalismo real (no de revista de decoración). Le comenté que me encantaba su lugar y que me gustaria hacer un post sobre el, a lo cual ella respondió con un "sí!" y a los pocos días me envió fotos para ilustrar este post, que no solo muestran su espacio de trabajo y herramientas sino también sus hermosos trabajos. 

I have already published something about illustrator Johanna tagada: a beautiful video recorded in her old studio/flat, in which she speaks about her work and style. Since then, I've been following her up close, through all possible social networks: Instagram, Flickr, Facebook, blog... Not long ago she moved into a new studio and the pictures of it that she shared were crazy beautiful. She has an exquisite taste, which combines simplicity, pastels color palette and real minimalism (not the one we see in decor magazines). I told her that I loved her place and that i would love to feature it in a blog post, to which she replied with a "Yes!" and a few days later she sent me several pics to illustrate this post, that not only show her work space and tools but also her beautiful and wide body of work.

Johanna vende sus trabajos y zines en su online shop y tiene un portfolio en donde pueden ver todo lo que hace. Como si fuera poco, además lleva un visual diary en Tumblr, con fotos analógicas. Una artista super completa.

Johanna sells her works and zines in her online shop and has an online portfolio where you can see all that she makes. As if all these wasn't enough, she also carries a visual diary on Tumblr, with analog pictures. A very complete artist.

Sus imágenes me inspiran un montón y me transmiten mucha calma. Quizás por eso de la sencillez y el despojo de lo que la rodea. Menos es más, como decía Mies Van der Rohe. Me podría pasar horas mirando su mundo y colores, a través de sus mismos ojos.

Her images inspire me greatly and bring so much peace.  Maybe because of that simplicity and non clutter (?) around her. Less is more, as Mies Van der Rohe used to say. I could spend hours watching her world and colors, through her own eyes.
